Gladys Mabel Christine Ketchum, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022. Gladys was born on January 14, 1923, in Hanna, Oklahoma, the daughter of Thomas L. and Annie Bell (Reynolds) Schneider. She attended West Liberty School in Hanna. On Gladys' birthday, January 14, 1940, she married Loyd Ketchum in Hanna. They were married for 71 years before Loyd's death. Loyd and Gladys move to Tulsa, then moved to California where she worked as a seamstress at a local cleaners in California. After retirement Loyd and Gladys moved back to Oklahoma and settled in Pittsburg County near Eufaula. She attended the First Christian Church in Eufaula. The last seven months she lived at the Eufaula Manor Rehabilitation Nursing Center.
Survivors include her children, Loyd La Moyne Ketchum, Brenda Sherlyn Ketchum and Gary Michael Ketchum; grandchildren, Sherry and Kenny Castro, Karla and Mark Kreitler, Robert and Misti Ketchum, Johnny Ketchum, Gary Jr. Ketchum, Cody Ketchum, Lorrie and Darrell Sarwell, Ronnie and Mandy Ketchum; great grandchildren, Allen Matthews, Zachary Ketchum, Martin Kreitler, Helen Kreitler, Tiffany Ketchum, Max Castro, Braeden Rush, Gary Ketchum III, McKenzie Ketchum, Joyce Ketchum and Kaily Ketchum. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Annie Schneider, husband, Loyd Ketchum, children, Christine Ketchum and Harlan Ned Ketchum. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Bell, Edna Mae, Cleo, James, Arthur, Effie, Vera, Ruby and Tommy.
