Richard William Dossett

Richard William Dossett, 82, of Eufaula, passed away on January 23, 2021 at the St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee. Richard was born on May 27, 1938 in Jefferson City, MO to William and Lucille Loraine (Evans) Dossett. He attended Boulder City School in Boulder City, NV from 1939 to 1956. Richard graduated from Central High School in Jackson, MS in 1956. He served in the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged on October 31, 1966. Richard worked in Amarillo, Texas with Woolworth Company from 1965 to 1975. From 1975 to 1982, he worked in Oklahoma City with TG&Y Retail Company. In 1982, Richard started working at South West Garden Centers. He moved to Eufaula in 1986 and started working in real estate with Better Homes & Gardens, before retiring in 2003. On December 1, 1989, Richard married Linda Lou Wyckoff in Eureka Springs, MO. They were happily married for thirty-one years. He loved to golf, hunt, bowl, and ride his motorcycle. Richard also enjoyed lake activities. Survivors include: his wife, Linda Dossett, of the home; sons: Steven Barry Dossett and wife, Liz; Brian Keith Dossett and wife, Kathy; stepson, Timothy Sean Barney; stepdaughters: Sharon McKay and husband, Bruce; and Rebecca Anderson and husband, Greg; sister, Susan Cliburn and husband, Jim; grandchildren: Bradley and Taylor McKay, Justin McKay, Brett and Nancy Anderson, Alex Anderson, Dylan Blake Dossett, Ryan Chandler Dossett, and Skylar Lee Dossett; great grandchildren, Madeline Faye McKay, and Liam Dossett. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Dossett and Lucille Loraine (Evans) Dossett and one sister, Patricia Gessner.
