Agnes "Butch" Elsey

November 19, 1925 — February 16, 2022

Agnes "Butch" Elsey, 96, of McAlester, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at the Mitchell Manor Nursing Home. Butch was born on November 19, 1925, in Tuttle, North Dakota, the daughter of Christ and Anna (Anderson) Hetletvedt. She graduated from Tuttle High School in 1943. On May 1, 1945, Butch married Cecil Elwood Elsey in Reno, Nevada. They were happily married thirty-eight years when Cecil preceded her in death. Butch was a past member of the Christian Church of Quinton. Survivors include: her grandson, Bryan Bevans and wife Tina of Broken Arrow; granddaughter, Kari Hodges of McAlester; son in law, Tommy Bevans of Stigler; sister, Alvina Miller of Tuttle, North Dakota; great grandchildren, Haley, Alexandria and Chloe. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Lynnette in1998, sisters, Helen, Laverne, Lois and Ann Kaye, brothers, Marvin and Donald.
