Alvin Acord

Alvin Acord of Oklahoma City, passed away on May 4, 2026 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 73. Alvin was born at Checotah, Oklahoma on March 8, 1953 to Adolphus and Betty Louise (Myers) Acord of Stidham, Oklahoma. Alvin attended Stidham Public Schools through the eight grade and attended Eufaula Public Schools until he graduated in 1971.

Alvin attended OSU Tech in Okmulgee, Oklahoma where he received an Associate of Science Degree in Printing Management. He later worked for Dresser Utility Solutions of Tulsa, Oklahoma until his retirement and moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Alvin received the most joy in life fishing and hunting. He would spend numerous hours in his boat with friends exploring different lakes throughout Oklahoma.

Alvin is preceded in death by his parents, Adolphus and Betty Acord of Stidham, Oklahoma, brother in law Gale Evans of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and nephew Bradley Evans of Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Alvin is survived by his four sisters, Linda Evans of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Roxann Hobbs and husband Howard of Checotah, Oklahoma, Marlene Blue and husband Neal of Checotah, Oklahoma, Darnell Burgess and husband Kevin of Piedmont, Oklahoma, and three very special cousins, Bim and Sheila Brackett of Eufaula, Oklahoma and Rocky Brackett of Stidham, Oklahoma.
