Angela Anne Evans, age 54, residing in Eufaula, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on April 23, 2023 after battling several significant health issues. She was born March 4, 1969 in Manhattan, Kansas to Donna and Ron Montgomery. As a kid Angela and her little brother, Matt, grew up in Arkansas before their family moved to Oklahoma. She graduated high school from Union Public Schools in 1987 before going to college at Texas Christian University, The University of Oklahoma, and Northeastern State University to earn a Bachelor’s in Science studying pre-med. She began her professional career as a teacher at Broken Arrow Public Schools. While working she attained a Master’s in Education and Administration from Oklahoma State University. She continued her public service in education throughout her career within different roles: Assistant Principal at Broken Arrow and Catoosa High Schools, Assistant Director and Campus Director at Tulsa Technology Center, and finished her career as Campus Director at Kiamchi Tech in McAlester. Her love for inspiring others and career techs aided numerous students in finding the careers of their dreams.
At age 25, Angela married Ed Evans on March 25, 1994. They raised their two children, Matt and Brooke, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma but always enjoyed traveling the world and making memories as a family. After their children moved out of the house they were replaced by as many dogs as Angela could convince Ed to let her keep. Angela loved to travel in their RV and visit National Parks to enjoy all of God’s creations. When Angela was home she enjoyed eating at her favorite local Eufaula restaurants and making friends with anyone who wanted or needed a friend.
Angela is survived by her husband, Ed Evans; son Matt Evans, his wife Charlie, and grandchildren Cayde, Cruize, Hazely, and Case; daughter Brooke Pemberton and her husband Chase; father Ron Montgomery and his wife Sheryl; brother Matt Montgomery, his wife Tisha, and their family; brother John Cleveland, his wife Joanie, and their daughter; sister-in-law Susannah Ralston, her husband Chris, and their children; and Grandmothers Wanda Spencer and Fairy Montgomery.
