Barbara Ann Moody

Barbara Ann Moody, 89, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Lakeview Nursing Center in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Born on June 11, 1937, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of James L. and Marie H. Howerton.

Barbara spent several years in Dallas, Texas, where she shared her passion for art by teaching painting and drawing classes after school. Her love for creativity and expression touched many lives.

She is remembered by her son, Christopher W. Moody, and his wife, Lori, of Owasso; her grandchildren, Michelle M. Soetaert, Megan R. Cowan, and Tyler W. Moody; and her great-grandson, James C. Cowan. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Marie Howerton.
