Beatrice McCoy

Beatrice McCoy, 89, of Eufaula, Oklahoma peacefully passed from this life on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at her home in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Beatrice was born on August 29, 1936, in Mellette, Oklahoma, the daughter of Odie Lee and Opal (Urquhart) Burns. In 1987, Beatrice married Bill Dale McCoy in Las Vegas, Nevada. Beatrice worked as a butcher for seventeen years at Nichols Grocery. She also worked at the Elising Sewing Factory. Beatrice was affectionately known as Grandma Bea when she worked at the Kids World Daycare. She was a member of the Eufaula First Church of God.

Beatrice is survived by her son, Nickie Foster and wife Teresa of Oklahoma City; daughters Kemmie Shropshire and husband Choya of Pryor, LaQuita Johnston and husband Randy of Eufaula and Cora Camren and husband Corey of Eufaula; sisters Lavanda Pence and husband Tom of Hugo and Wanda Montgomery of Mellette; one brother; Michael Burns of Stidham, Ok., ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents Odie and Opal Burns; her husband Bill Dale McCoy; and two brothers Grover Lee Burns and Clarence Wendel Burns.
