Brandi Renee Jones, 54, of Eufaula, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at her home. Brandi was born on May 18, 1969 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Roy Oliver and Sherry Ann (Smith) May. Brandi lived in southern Arizona as a child and then moved to Oklahoma in elementary school. In 1987, she graduated from Allen High School. Brandi married Travis Jones on June 27, 1987. They were happily married for thirty-five years and to this union two children were born, Seth and Emily. She raised her children in Arkoma, Oklahoma and Ft. Smith, Arkansas and was able to spend over ten years at home with them while they were in school. Her husband and children remember those years fondly. Brandi also attended classes at OSU Technical College in Okmulgee and the University of Arkansas in Ft. Smith. She worked as a substitute teacher at Arkoma and Ft. Smith Schools and was also the assistant basketball coach at Arkoma for a few years. Brandi later worked from home as inside sales support for Rocky Mountain Baldor in Denver, Colorado.
She excelled in all her jobs, but the one most important to her was being a wife, mother, and Nonna. She would give or do anything for her children, Seth and Emily. Brandi loved her grandkids, Rylan Skye Jones and Michael Milo Jones more than anything and spending time with them was of the utmost importance.
In 2018, she lived in Salt Lake City, Utah before settling on the lake in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Brandi loved catfishing with rod and reel. She always caught more than Travis and loved to remind him. Genealogy was another hobby she enjoyed and had a natural talent for it. Brandi also loved cooking and had many famous dishes, most notably her sausage gravy, macaroni and cheese, and award-winning chocolate chip pecan pie. A clean home brought her joy. The smell of Pine-sol and the sound of classic rock or blues put her right back in the room with us. She also enjoyed spending time with her best friend and soul sister, Kelly Womack, on long trips in Harvey the RV. She was a Christian and previously attended the Arkoma First Baptist Church. Brandi is a blood bought, born again Child of God and knows Jesus as her Savior and Lord.
Survivors include: her husband, Travis Jones, of the home; children: Seth Jones and wife Raige, of Chester, Arkansas and Emily Pankey and husband Clayton, of Maumelle, Arkansas; grandchildren, Rylan and Michael Jones; father, Roy May, of Muskogee, OK; mother, Sherry Wise, of Arizona; two brothers: Lynn May, of Allen, OK; and Matthew May, of Birmingham, AL; and many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
It was Brandi's wish to forego a funeral and plan a Celebration of Life when her family is ready to do so. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to one of the following cancer support organizations:
