Brenda Sue Runyon

Brenda Sue Runyon, 75, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, peacefully passed from this life on Sunday Morning, December 28, 2025 in Eufaula, Oklahoma surrounded by family. Brenda was born on April 7, 1950, in Bloomington, Illinois, the daughter of James and Doris V. (Abbey) Ledbetter. She attended Colfax High School. On May 27, 1966, Brenda married Allen Wayne Runyon in Strawn, Illinois. She and Wayne traveled across the U.S. opening pizza restaurants for major corporations and assisting existing locations in need of guidance. She and Wayne moved to Oklahoma in 1984. She devoted many years to managing the Pizza Shoppe and Ken's Pizza, where she passed down her love of pizza to her children and grandchildren. She became "Memom" to many in the community. She later worked at the McIntosh County Courthouse for 7 years before retiring. In her free time, Brenda enjoyed reading, working in her flower beds, tending to her plants and interior decorating. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the true light of her life and the joy that filled her heart.

Brenda is survived by her son, Larry Todd Runyon; daughters Kimberly Sue Smelser and husband Kelly and Amber Renae Runyon and husband Brad Hunt; brother Tim Riggs and sisters Debbie Lattin, Cheryl Rohlfs, and Tammi Baker. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren Brittany, James, Ciara, Chase, Mariah, Stetson, Alyssa, Levi, Rachel, Christy, Heaven, Brady, Samantha, Dawson, Elana, Emali, Taylor, Briana and Sam; and thirteen great grandchildren Maverick, Mathis, Macon, Rhett, Wren, Brooks, River, Naomi, Noah, Nathan, Georgia, Sloan and Elizabeth and her fur baby Emmy.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, James Lock and Doris Ledbetter; her husband Allen Wayne Runyon and a son Douglas Brian Runyon.
