David Lee Niesel

David Charles Niesel, 65, of Stigler, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, September 4th, 2026, at his home. David was born on November 3, 1960, in Libertyville, Illinois, the son of Charles Ray and Eleanor Francis (Storch) Niesel. He graduated from Chatham School and lived in Sherman, Illinois and also lived in Alabama. On February 23, 2011, David married Linda Campbell in Murphysboro, Illinois. He and Linda moved to Oklahoma for a change of pace and to be closer to family. David loved to fish. He enjoyed baseball and was a Pittsburgh Pirates fan and a Chicago Cubs fan. David also enjoyed NFL football watching the Chicago Bears, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

David is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; daughter Alexis Fontana Ohliger of Sherman, IL; brother Micheal Arthur Niesel of Murphysboro, IL; sisters Christine Victoria Mcdade of Cape Coral FL, Dawn Elizabeth Fry of Tampa, FL and Deborah Lynn Allen of Bethany, OK. He is also survived by two grandchildren and seven step grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Eleanor Niesel.
