Doris Ann Jones

Doris Ann Jones, aged 87, of Stidham, Oklahoma, left this world peacefully on August 18, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 23, 1938, in Texanna, Oklahoma, to Leslie Macom and Maudie Lee (Hampton) Macom, and she was the youngest of 16 children.

Doris married Bobby Jones on December 2, 1954, and together they built a life filled with love and commitment. She found fulfillment in her work as a printer for the Latimer County News and the Indian Journal. Doris was a devoted member of the Little Coweta Baptist Church, where she cherished her community and faith.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Paula Hawkins and her husband Gary of Jenks; Bobbie Gail Self and her husband Chris of Stidham; and Shelly Hunter of Fort Gibson. She also leaves behind her sons, Jack Jones of Tecumseh and Tim Jones of Stidham; along with a legacy of love represented by her fourteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and twenty great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Maudie Lee; her beloved husband, Bobby Ray Jones; and her seven sisters and seven brothers.

Doris Ann Jones will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
