With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Gayla B. Millican, 71, of Canadian, Oklahoma on September 27, 2025 at home surrounded by family. Gayla was born on May 26, 1954 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to James and Helen (Cornelius) Inman. Gayla graduated from Wetumka High School in 1972. Gayla worked in sales at Bergdorf Pipe and Supply for thirty years. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and beloved friend. While we will miss her presence dearly, we will forever hold onto the warmth and comfort she brought into our lives.
Gayla will be remembered most for the simple, profound joy she found in life's most meaningful traditions. She loved nothing more than to sit at the kitchen table, a warm cup of coffee in hand, and share stories and laughter with anyone who joined her. The table was the heart of the home, a gathering place filled with conversation and comfort. Once retired Gayla returned to cooking family favorites as well as self publishing two books. Gayla cherished sitting on the porch with Keith while watching the sun rise over the lake and drinking coffee.
