Georgia Kay Mitchell, age 76, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on June 5, 2025, in Tulsa. Born on September 20, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the beloved daughter of Warren Bernard Pendleton and Mary Lu (Denton) Pendleton. After graduating from Bloom Township High School in 1967, Georgia attended the nursing program at Carl Albert in Oklahoma.
On June 10, 1987, she married Richard “Bo” Mitchell in Poteau, Oklahoma, embarking on a journey filled with love and dedication. Georgia made significant contributions to her community through her work as a cashier, waitress, and as a census worker.
She is survived by her cherished daughter, Tabitha K. Mitchell, her brother, Warren Bernard Pendleton Jr., and her three grandchildren, who were a source of joy in her life. Georgia is preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Mary Pendleton; her husband, Richard “Bo” Mitchell; her brothers, Douglas Pendleton and Roger Ira Pendleton; and her stepdaughter, Belinda.
Georgia's warmth, kindness, and spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to resonate in the lives she touched.
