James "Jim" Farrell Fowler, age 75, of Canadian, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on December 27, 2025. Born on October 24, 1950, in Phoenix, Arizona, he was the beloved son of Clyde Jeffrice and Lucille (Erwin) Fowler.
On December 29, 1967, Jim married the love of his life, Sandra Elaine Funderburg, in Glendale, Arizona. Their enduring partnership brought them joy for fifty-eight wonderful years. Jim retired as a dedicated firefighter with the Midwest City Fire Department.
Jim cherished his hobbies, including hunting and fishing, and he enjoyed traveling to Branson. He found joy in woodworking and spent many hours playing on the computer, shopping and doing research.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra, at home; his son, Jeff Fowler, and wife Stacy of Skiatook; and his daughter, Tammy Gaines, and husband Kenny of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Overby, and husband Don of Goodyear, Arizona, and seven grandchildren: Hayden Fowler and wife Jordan, Rush Lakin and wife Grace, Isaiah Lakin, Haylee Fowler, Kobe Lakin and Micah, Emory Gaines, and Park Gaines, along with one great-grandchild, BrayLee Fowler.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Lucille Fowler; his brother, Clyde Lamont Fowler; and sisters, Joyce Clyde and Glenna Redondo.
A memorial service will be held by the family at 2:00 p.m. on January 4, 2026, at the Canadian United Methodist Church, with Reverend Larry Bauman officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
Jim Fowler will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of love and kindness will remain in our hearts forever.
