Jimmy Cole Montgomery

Jimmy Cole Montgomery, 86, of Eufaula, Oklahoma peacefully passed from this life on Monday, May 25, 2026 in Muskogee, Oklahoma surrounded by family. Jimmy was born on September 21, 1939 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Woodrow Montgomery and Ida Marie (White) Montgomery. Jimmy was of the Baptist faith, he attended school in Artussee. Jimmy was a member of the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged. Jimmy married Sherry Ann Hughes on May 20, 1961 and together they shared sixty-five years of marriage. Jimmy worked many years on the pipeline to provide for his family. Jimmy loved to hunt and fish, he went on trips to Pagos Springs, Colorado to hunt elk and he loved spending as much time as possible with his grandkids.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Sherry of the home, one daughter Michele Wilson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, one brother Keith and wife Debra of Edmond, Oklahoma, three sisters Marie Sellers and husband Jack of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Rena Blagraves of Midland, Texas and Kathy Hall of Longtown, Oklahoma; Four grandchildren Lindsay Rice and husband Nick of Checotah, Oklahoma, Kirby Payne of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Grayson Glover and wife Zara of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Chad Wilson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Three great-grandchildren Kaden, Ben and Ivy and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents Woodrow and Ida Montgomery, two brothers Harold and Woodrow Montgomery and three sisters Joyce, Trena and Theresa.
