Johnny Gene Armstrong

Johnny Gene Armstrong, 82, of Rosston, Oklahoma passed from this life on Friday, October 23, 2026 in Witchita, Kansas. Johnny was born on November 28, 1943 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Richard Clayton Armstrong and Beulah Rebekah (Perry). Johnny enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served his country until his honorable discharge. Johnny was of the Baptist faith. Johnny married Ruby Evelyn Brown on May 28, 1972 and together they shared fifty years together until her passing in 2022. Johnny worked for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for twenty years.

Johnny is survived by two daughters Earin McAtee and husband Brant of Rosston, OK, Dellen Fletcher and husband Andy of Wichita, KS; and four grandchildren, Banr Fletcher, Jarrett McAtee, Kayden McAtee and Lakin McAtee and a bonus grandchild TK Mulbery. He is also survived by a brother Robert Armstrong of Poteau.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Beulah Armstrong, his wife Ruby and siblings Alpha Westerdahl, Violet McNutt, Gladys Scoles, Cybil McKosky, Henry Gerald (HG) Armstrong, Mack Armstrong, Larry (Boney) Armstrong, Leonard Armstrong and Jack Armstrong.
