Joyce Nichols

Joyce Nichols, 84, of Ventura, California, peacefully passed from this life on Monday, February 2, 2026 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Joyce was born on September 23, 1941 to Lynford David Cripps Tyler III and Marion Alice (Iles) Shardlow. Joyce was a Legal Secretary for many years and enjoyed her work. Joyce also worked as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children, Joyce truly enjoyed helping children.

Joyce is survived by her son; Greg Nichols and wife Kristen of Porum Landing, Oklahoma. four grandchildren; Whitney Lupo, Arielle Higgins, Lacey Oberdan and Zane Oberdan, and six great-grand children; Connor, Annabelle, Kristian, Landon, Judah and Harper.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; Lynford Tyler and Marion Shardlow, one brother; David Tyler and one sister; Marilyn Thomlinson.
