Karen Renee Dabbs

Karen Renee Dabbs, 62, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, October 9, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Karen was born on May 4, 1964, in Eufaula, Oklahoma, the daughter of James Edwin and Hazel Pat (Byrd) Bumgarner. She graduated from Eufaula High School in 1983. Karen was a loving and devoted grandmother, affectionately known as "Memom" to her grandchildren. Being Memom was her greatest joy. She never missed a chance to spoil, encourage, and love on her grandkids, and they adored her right back. She was a beloved friend to many and loved by so many. Her warm heart, kind smile, and joyful spirit drew people in and made everyone feel like family. She especially loved playing bingo-her lucky dauber and big laugh could be heard across the room - and she cherished the friendships and fun it brought her. Her love, laughter and legacy will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her mother, Hazel Pat Bumgarner, of Eufaula, OK; son, Carl Wayne Hearod and wife Bethany of Wagoner, OK; daughter Jayme Lynn Gill of Eufaula, OK; sister Cheryl Cook of Dallas, TX; and five grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father James "Sonny" Bumgarner.

A funeral service will be held On Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at the First Free Will Baptist Church with Terry Cossey officiating.
