**Obituary for Karen Ann Fisher**

Karen Ann Fisher, age 72, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away on June 28, 2025. She was born on March 14, 1953, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Sherman and Pauline Ferrell. Karen was a proud graduate of Edison High School, class of 1971.

She married her first husband, Curtis "Frank" Foster, on March 11, 1977. Together, they welcomed two wonderful children, Stephen and Karalee. After Frank's passing in May 1995, Karen found love again with Charles Fisher, whom she married on January 2, 1997. The couple resided in Skiatook, Oklahoma, before eventually retiring to their cherished home in Eufaula.

Karen had a passion for cooking, sewing, and quilting. She dedicated much of her time to crafting beautiful quilts with the ladies at her church, often creating blankets for donation to the Department of Human Services, as well as baby blankets for expectant families. An accomplished author, she published four children's books inspired by her own childhood experiences.

Family and friends were the cornerstone of Karen's life; she treasured moments spent with loved ones, enjoying activities such as bowling, fishing, and boating at the lake. In her younger years, she also enjoyed square dancing with her husband.

Karen is survived by her children, Stephen Foster and his wife KaSondra of Tecumseh, Karalee (Kara) Thomas and husband Dustin Martin of Pryor, and Shelly Nichols and husband Gene McNeal of Skiatook. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous step-great-grandchildren. Karen is further survived by her sisters, Linda Ferrell-Bradford and Rhonda Ferrell-Matthiesen and her husband Mike, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and both of her beloved husbands, Frank and Charles.
