Kaye Boone

April 21, 1941 — January 27, 2024

Marilyn Kaye (Brown) Boone, 82, of Stidham, passed away on January 27, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kaye was born to Russell Sage Brown Jr. and Mary Alice (Hisel) Brown on April 21, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kaye was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her grandchildren called her Murd, short for Grandmurder. Kaye was raised in church and gave her life to Christ in 1962 at South Lindsay Baptist Church. She attended Shield Heights and Davis Elementary, where she and Connie were in the same third grade class. Kaye then went to Southeast High School in Oklahoma City, where she and Connie reconnected. She dropped out of high school to marry the greatest guy, Connie Gene Boone. They raised four girls who were her pride and joy. They are Benita Jean, Sobra Kaye, Dedra Shane, and Connie Eleesha. At 48, Kaye decided to go to college. She graduated from Connors State College with two Associate's Degree and then went on to graduate from Northeastern State University, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education in 1995. Kaye taught school, sold real estate, volunteered at church and God's Helping Hands, and baby sat any time she was needed. In 1972, they moved to the country to have cattle and horses. Kaye was not a country girl, but adjusted to life on their ranch. Connie and Kaye were married sixty-four years. For their 50th wedding anniversary, they went to D.C., where they had always wanted to go. It was a great trip. Kaye enjoyed painting and had home improvement projects going most of the time. She also enjoyed going to fine arts performances. Barry Manilow was her favorite singer and she saw him in concert 8 times. Kaye attended all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren's events, including basketball, baseball, rodeos, & ballet recitals.

Survivors include: her spouse, Connie Boone, of the home; daughters: Benita Jean Boone, Sobra Kaye Boone, Dedra Shane Goff, and Connie Eleesha Boone; grandchildren: Stevy, Trey, Teryn, and Denim; and great grandchildren: Chloe, Evan, Mason, Sawyer, and River. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Benny Mark Brown; grandparents; her in-laws; two great grandchildren, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Ann Robinson and Traveler Dean Yandell.
