Kevin Don McKinney

Kevin Don McKinney passed away following a motorcycle accident, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, a passion for riding, and a deep love for his family. For many years, Kevin dedicated his talents to the aircraft tooling industry, showcasing a sharp mind. Later in life, he returned home to support his family, working alongside his mother to help run her business, Northside Liquors. Kevin was a man who truly loved life in motion and was captivated by all things racing. He was an avid race fan who loved cars, bikes, and the thrill of the track. A proud supporter of the McKinney Racing Team, Kevin found immense joy in going to the races in person, watching NASCAR on TV, and traveling to see NASCAR events live. When he wasn't driving some cool "fast" car, riding his motorcycle or immersed in the racing world, he could often be found golfing, enjoying the quiet of a fishing trip, or adding to his rock collection. Kevin was a lifelong, die-hard Oklahoma Sooner fan and was rarely seen without an OU shirt or hat. His love for the Sooners was simply part of who he was. Above all, Kevin loved being a father and grandfather. His daughter, Kassidy, and his grandsons, Kaiden and Dean, were a source of great pride and joy throughout his life.He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Don McKinney; his mother, Coleta (White) Christmas; and his stepfather, Harvey "Chris" Christmas. Kevin's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his loving family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Kassidy (McKinney) Hollis, and his two cherished grandsons, Kaiden and Dean, who brought immense light to his life.
