Lewis McGirt

Lewis McGirt, 42, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2026, in Tulsa. Lewis was born on September 22, 1983, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Chester Eugene McGirt and Lilly Hadley (Powell) McGirt. He graduated from Eufaula High School and attended Connors State College. Lewis worked as a game technician for casinos. He was an avid OKC Thunder and Texas Longhorn fan. Lewis was a lifelong WWE wrestling fan as well.

Survivors include his mother Lilly Powell and sisters, Gina and Jeremy Locust of Gore, Oklahoma, and Madison McGirt of Mounds. nieces Jordyn and Shyanne McGirt; nephews Dominick McGirt, Alex and Gabriel Locust.

He is preceded in death by his father, Chester McGirt; brothers Marcus McGirt, Cordell McGirt and Arnold Brown; paternal grandparent Betty Mae McGirt, maternal grandparents Mark and Rose Hadley; uncles, Mike and Marcus L. McGirt, Sampson Hadley and Earnest Hadley and David Hadley; aunt, Marie Yazzie. one cousin Jerrell Birdtail and two nieces Charlotte and Taryne Locust.
