Lois Evelyn (Salters) Burns, 96, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, at her home. Lois was born on November 11, 1924, in Artussee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Miles Clayton and Carrie Leona McCain Salters. She attended Artussee School. Lois married Raymond Theodore Burns on November 4, 1943. They were happily married for seventy-seven years. She worked as an office manager at the Palmer Swadley Wholesale Grocery from 1962-1975. Lois owned and operated the Eufaula Flower Shoppe from 1975-1980. She then opened a furniture and appliance store. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Lois enjoyed crocheting, working crosswords and puzzles and loved reading her bible. She was an independent, strong willed woman. Survivors include: her husband, Raymond, of the home; sons, Bill Burns and wife Paula of Eufaula and J.T. Burns and wife Beth of Eufaula; daughter, Sharon Edgar and husband Don of Eufaula; eight grandchildren, Jason Kent Burns, Wendy Burns, Bryan Wayne Burns, Michael Todd Burns, Lea Cherie (Burns) Richards, David John Burns, Amanda Jaye Kiener and Neal Jordan Kiener; thirteen great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, a teenage son, Terry Kent Burns in 1964 and seven siblings, Benjamin Salters, Daniel Salters, James Salters, Virdie Long, Zelma Guinn, Lillian Dunegan and Mary Dornan.
