Mary Alice Bishop

Mary Alice Bishop,78, of McAlester, OK peacefully passed from this life on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at her home. Mary was born on October 14, 1947 in Wetumka, OK the daughter of Carl Leonard Hill and Sarah 'Lucille' Sullivan. Faith was important to Mary, she loved God. Mary devoted many years to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections at the Fort Supply Facility in Alva, OK and the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester, OK., filling major roles as Correctional Officer III and Correctional Counselor until her retirement.

Mary is survived by her daughter Cari Beesley and husband James of Davis, OK. one sister Shirley Ross and husband Don of McAlester, OK., one grandchild Callie Anne Thomas Yeudall and husband Duncan of Texas.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Carl Hill and Sarah 'Lucille' Minter, one brother Michael and one sister Sandra.
