Mitchell Bryan King, 70, of Eufaula, Oklahoma peacefully passed from this life on Monday, June 15, 2026 to be with his Lord and Savior. Mitch was born on July 6, 1955 in Banbury, United Kingdom, the son of Allen Palmer and Martha King. Mitch attended Eastern Washington University receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology/Geography. He then received his teaching certification in Chemistry, Physical Science, General Science, Earth Science and Geography from Northeastern State University. He completed graduate studies in Environmental Science from the University of Tulsa and Educational Technology from East Central University. He was a member of the North Fork Baptist Church for forty years. Mitch married Lesa King on October 23, 2004. They were happily married for twenty-one years.
Mitch is survived by his wife Lesa of the home; his mother Martha King; sons Shaun King of Broken Arrow, Chad King and wife Amber of Broken Arrow, Ande King of Broken Arrow, Holly King (the mother of his sons) and Dylan Helms and wife Sheradon of Eufaula; daughter Audra Deckard and husband Blake of Eufaula; brother Timothy King of Spokane, Washington and sister Kelly Beale of Spokane, Washington.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren Morgan King, Kyler King, Ian King, Steely Deckard, Sterling Deckard, Sutton Helms, Sadler Helms and Storey Helms.
Mitch is preceded in death by his father Allen Palmer and his step dad Edmond King.
Mitch was an avid outdoorsman and traveler, he was happiest discovering new places, hiking scenic trails, sailing, dirt bike riding, and sharing campfires with Lesa, his sons, and many friends. His adventurous spirit and appreciation for nature left a lasting mark on all who knew and loved him.
