Morgan Quincy Emerson

Morgan Quincy Emerson, 93, of Eufaula, Ok. passed from this life on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at his home surrounded by family. Morgan was born on February 13, 1932 in Checotah, Ok., to Ocie Quincy Emerson and Tabitha Olive (Thomas) Emerson. Morgan graduated from Onapa High School, briefly attended Connors State College in Warner, Ok., and went to church at Hope Baptist in Checotah. Morgan owned many businesses throughout his life with Real Estate Developer being the most recent. Morgan married Nora Lorene Brandon on May 5, 1952 in Onapa, Ok., and together they shared seventy-three years of marriage.

Morgan is survived by two daughters; Sharleen Sparks and husband Royce of McAlester, Ok. Marcella Griffin and husband Gary of Eufaula. One son; Morgan Emerson and wife Eva of Checotah, Ok. One brother; Johnny Emerson and wife Robin of Broken Arrow.

Three sisters; Betty McNeeley of Eufaula, Ok., Sue Brinsfield and husband Danny of Checotah, Ok., Janice Clark and husband Vernie of Checotah, Ok. Five grandchildren; Twelve great-grandchildren; and Ten great great-grandchildren. Numerous Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

Morgan is preceded in death by his parents; one brother; Jerry Emerson and one sister; Ann McAdoo.
