Nancy Lynne Bohler

Nancy Lynne Bohler, 78, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Tulsa. Born on August 2, 1947, Nancy was the beloved daughter of James "Jem" Emery and Billie Irene (Johnston) Maxwell.

A dedicated educator, Nancy committed her life to teaching high school science, inspiring students for forty-seven years. She pursued her passion for education, earning her Master’s Degree in Education after graduating from high school. Her career was marked by a resolute commitment to academic excellence and nurturing the curiosity of countless young minds.

On September 16, 1967, Nancy married Jessie Wayne Bohler, beginning a partnership that would span fifty-four years. Their enduring marriage was a testament to mutual support and deep affection. Together, they built a home in Eufaula and were active members of the Eufaula First Church of God, where Nancy found community and fellowship.

Nancy is survived by her devoted son, Stuart W. Bohler and his wife Mary Lois of Eufaula; her cherished daughter, Rachel L. Bohler of Eufaula; treasured grandchildren, Mackenzie Layne Bohler and John "Max" Dylan Bohler; and one great-grandchild, Carrie Hazel Bohler, who brought immense joy to her later years. She is also survived by her brother John Emery Maxwell Jr. and his wife Lejoy of Wellington, KS, as well as her cousins Ruth-Ann Reitz and Marsha.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jem and Billie Maxwell; her dearly loved husband, Jessie; and her sister Mary Elizabeth Maxwell.

Nancy Lynne Bohler’s legacy endures through the lives she shaped both within her family and in her many years as an educator. She will be fondly remembered for her unwavering dedication, compassionate spirit, and commitment to her faith and community.
