Oscar B. Austin Jr., was born December 18, 1953 to Birthenia Calamease and Oscar B. Austin Sr. This baby boy grew up in Eufaula where he received his education at Booker T. Washington and Eufaula High School. Oscar was a very busy young boy, fixing bikes, firing BB guns, and shooting marbles. A very good boxer for his size, he was a golden glove winner. He graduated from high school in 1972. He married Regina Dixon and to this union 2 sons were born. He later married Jackie Carrethers. This union gave him 4 bonus children. His marriage to Jean Gary gave him 2 bonus children.
Oscar was preceded in death by his mother, Birthenia Caldwell, father Oscar B. Austin, son Roderick Austin, brothers Elis White and Rickey Caldwell and nephew Calvin Lowe.
He leaves to mourn his sons Ramone (Christin), Austin Gary, and Billy Lee Jr.; daughters Tamira (Donald), Michelle (Dajuan), April, Jessie (Mark); sisters Myra, Rochelle and San (Raymond); brother Carlos and his Jackson brothers and sisters.
Oscar leaves behind 18 grandkids, 18 great grandkids, a host of special nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews and many special friends including The Bad Boys.
Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat quietly in a chair.
Perhaps you sent a funeral spray, if so we saw it there.
Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, that anyone could say.
Perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you so much
