Patricia "Patty" Kay Fisher

Patty Fisher, 72, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on December 24, 1952, in Duncan, Oklahoma, Patty graduated from Duncan High School in 1971 and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree and Master's Degree in Education from Oklahoma State University. Her life was defined by her love for Christ, her family, and her passion for nurturing young lives.

Patty devoted much of her career to early childhood education, starting with public education in Hannah and Stidham. Later she founded and directed Apple Tree Preschool in Checotah and Joyful Day Preschool in Eufaula. Her influence reached far beyond the classroom, as she inspired countless children with her warmth, patience, and steadfast belief in every child’s potential.

Her commitment to faith and service was evident throughout her life. She was a longtime volunteer with Campus Crusade for Christ and served as a leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, impacting young people both spiritually and personally. Patty was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Eufaula for 35 years, where she was a constant source of encouragement and leadership in the church community.

Patty was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, David; her children Jamie Bedford, Nathan (Yasue) Fisher, Ryan (Lacey) Fisher, Daniel Fisher; her 12 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and her sister Carol (Barry) Katzer. Her legacy of love, service, and faith lives on through them and all who were blessed to know her.

A service celebrating Patty’s life will be held at First Baptist Church on May 9, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Friends and family are invited to attend and honor the memory of a woman whose life was a reflection of God's love. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Campus Crusade (www.give.cru.org).

Her unwavering faith, contagious energy, and steadfast encouragement will be remembered always.
