Peggy Lavella Anderson

Peggy Lavella Anderson, 79, of Stidham, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026, at her home surrounded by family. Peggy was born on April 2, 1947, in Lenna, Oklahoma, the daughter of Earl Woodrow and Margaret Elizabeth (Toler) McDaniel. The family moved to Oklahoma City when Peggy was eight. She attended Lenna Elementary School in Lenna and Britton Elementary School in Oklahoma City and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1964. On November 4, 1965, Peggy married Jessie Wayne Anderson in Oklahoma City. She was a member of the Little Coweta Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband Jessie Anderson of the home; son Curtis Wayne Anderson of Eufaula; daughter Cheryl Adams and husband Johnny of Stidham; sister Judy Peterson of Eufaula; sisters in law Sue McDaniel of Pennsylvania and Melinda Shiner McDaniel of Colorado; six grandchildren Jake Selby, Payton Selby of Carrolton, TX, Nikki Shelton, Trey Shelton of Watuaga, TX, Cody Selby and Maddie Grace Selby of Melissa, TX, Lyndsey O'Conner & casey Skaggs of McAlester, OK, Tyler Anderson & Katie of Inola, OK and Colton Anderson of Warner, OK; and eight great grandchildren Jackobi, Memphis, Lyra, Maddox, Mason, Greyson, Ava and Graham.

She is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Margaret McDaniel and her brothers Bob, Carol and Dennis McDaniel.
