Rayford Gavin Johnson

Rayford Gavin Johnson, 91, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025 in Tulsa. Rayford was born on February 26, 1934, in Carter Eaves City, Oklahoma, the son of Hugh LaFayette and Meddie Anita (Lewis) Johnson. He graduated from Fox High School in 1953. On December 9, 1953, Rayford married Norma Means. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1954. Rayford worked at Tinker Field Air Force Base in Oklahoma City retiring on January 1, 1988. After retiring, Rayford built a home and moved to Lake Eufaula.

Survivors include his daughters Normalita Ann Bishop of Edmond, Oklahoma and Paula Anita Lowrance and husband Bart of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Meddie Johnson, his wife of fifty-one years Norma Lee, three sisters, Blanquita Almond, Carmalita Wright and Carolyn Sue Johnson and two brothers Hugh Gene Johnson and Larry Wayne Johnson.
