Rebecca Faye Blue, 73, of Porum, Oklahoma passed peacefully from this life on Monday, January 5, 2026, at her home surrounded by family. Rebecca was born on March 12, 1952, in Yakima, Washington, the daughter of Flavious Commador and Betty Juanita (Raglin) Willoughby. On June 5, 1970, Rebecca married James “David” Blue in Del City, Oklahoma. Rebecca was an active member of North Fork Baptist Church.
Rebecca is survived by her husband David, sons James David Blue II, Jeremy Daniel Blue, and Joshua Dee Blue, daughters-in-law Laurie Blue, Melodie Blue, and Stacey Blue, sisters Ruby Wile and Judi Thomas, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a countless host of family and friends.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Seanna Blue, sister Ruth Schwab, and brother Darrell Willoughby.
Rebecca’s career was vast and centered on service. She was a Ministry Assistant at Capital Baptist Association and the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma. David and Rebecca moved to Alabama to serve full time at a church where Rebecca worked for the Montgomery Baptist Association. Their ministry then led them to Illinois to serve at another church where she worked for the Marion Cultural Civic Center.
After David’s retirement they returned to Oklahoma, to their present home at Lake Eufaula, where she served as Ministry Assistant at Muskogee First Baptist Church then North Fork Baptist Church until her retirement.
Rebecca had a life well lived dedicated to serving others because of her relationship to God through her Savior Jesus Christ.
The Celebration of Life service for Rebecca will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at North Fork Baptist Church. The family welcomes all that knew and loved her to join at the celebration of her life.
