Shirley JoAnn Guinn

Shirley Guinn, 76, of Checotah, Oklahoma passed from this life on Friday, May 16, 2025 in Muskogee. Shirley was born on September 5, 1948, in Hanna, Oklahoma, the daughter of Elmer Leo and Wilma Arvie (Leming) Holden. She graduated from Wasco High School in 1966. Shirley lived in Bakersfield, California until 1978 when she moved back to Oklahoma and lived in Dustin. She moved to Checotah in 1991. Shirley worked at Banner in Henryetta until her retirement. She also worked in the office at the Eufaula Hospital. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family and reading every book she could.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Katie Mcguire and husband James of Checotah; sons Richard Martin of the home, Jonathan Guinn and partner Candy of Longtown, Jacob Guinn and wife Jennifer of Rhodes, Iowa, and James Guinn and wife Laura of Checotah; brother David Holden of Enid; sister Judy Junkermeier of Bixby and Kathy Bozanich of Santa Ynez, California. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Royce Holden.
