Verna Lee Brackett
Verna Lee Brackett, 87, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, peacefully passed from this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at her home. Verna was born on May 7, 1938 in Vivian, Oklahoma to John Burl Pollard and Cora Alice (Hunter) Pollard. Verna graduated from Eufaula High School in 1956. Verna was a lifetime member of the Vivian Baptist Church.
On May 19, 1956, Verna married Byrl Brackett. They were married for 65 years. The couple had three daughters, Cathy Rippy (Cat), Sandra Frix (San), and Tamara Brackett (Tam).
Survivors include her daughters, Cathy Rippy of Stidham Oklahoma, Sandra Frix of Eufaula Oklahoma, and Tamara Brackett of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister Ernestene Hayworth of Carnegie, Ok. four grandchildren Doug Rippy, Jill Worden, Haylee Frix, and Geoffrey Frix; three great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Cilia, and Kye.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Cora Pollard and her husband Byrl in 2021.
